Intimacy Consulting
What is Sexual Intimacy Consulting? What can you expect?
Initial Consultation (90 minutes) - $195
The initial consultation is required for every consulting client. In this first meeting, we will explore your current sexual struggles, relevant sexual beliefs history, and what direction you'd like to go in for your sexual wellbeing and sexual relationship. Referrals to other professionals, such as a physical therapist or mental health provider, may be recommended as an adjunct to consulting or before beginning the consulting process. You will complete a sexual assessment prior to our meeting, so I have plenty of information as we work together to determine the most helpful course of action for you.

Sexual Healing –
For individuals experiencing sexual difficulties due to vaginismus, pain, low desire, inhibition, shame, or other sexuality concerns, this program focuses on addressing your concerns and working toward healing. You can utilize this program as you work in conjunction with a pelvic floor physical therapist, a mental health counselor, a couples therapist, or another medical provider, or on its own as you take the next steps in your sexual wellness journey.
Every individual’s sexual journey is unique, and I cannot predict the length of time needed to address every person’s struggles. You may meet with me for a month, take a break from consulting as you continue the recommendations on your own, and you may decide to come back later and meet with me for a one-hour consulting session to check in. Whatever season of life you are in and whatever your needs are, we can work together to make your sexual healing journey work for you.
If you have been diagnosed with vaginismus, I can work with you on using graduated dilators, practicing relaxation techniques, and addressing the underlying sexual beliefs that contribute to your muscle tension. I will likely recommend you work with a pelvic floor physical therapist in conjunction to our consulting sessions as well as have a mental health counselor who can help you work through anxiety symptoms and any trauma history, if applicable.
Sexual Retraining -
This program is for couples in which one or both partners struggle with sexual intimacy and/or who have never been able to engage in sexual intercourse. After the initial consultation session in which I gather an overall picture of each partner’s sexual backdrop, we will begin the retraining process, which often includes sexual education, sensate focus touch exercises, communication exercises, and other engagement exercises tailored to your specific needs and goals.
The sexual retraining protocol I utilize has 10 weeks’ worth of exercises, with the final week culminating in penile entry of the vagina. The exercises are given in one-week segments, and some exercises may need to be repeated, altered, and/or adapted during the process. Though it is possible to work through all the exercises in 10 weeks, many couples find it beneficial to repeat exercises until there is complete comfortability by both partners to move forward. Moving on too quickly will likely lead to resurfacing of problems down the road.
There is no pressure to complete the sexual retraining process by a certain date. The goal is that you and your partner will be more comfortable with sexual touch and intimacy and will have the skills and tools you need to continue growing in your sexual passion for one another.
After the initial consultation, you are welcome to work through the exercises on your own and check in with me at a later date for accountability or consulting in any areas you may be stuck.
Sexual Healing and Retraining –
This program is a combination of the healing and retraining programs. I can work with one or both partners individually to address specific sexual problems and difficulties as we work toward bringing the couple together for the sexual retraining process. Then I can guide the couple through the sexual retraining protocol while also having individual sessions to check in on individual progress. This may include consulting about dilator progress for a vaginismus client, sexual shame beliefs, arousal and orgasmic function, or checking in on the individual’s progress with other collaborating professionals.
This program provides the opportunity for focused and dedicated consultation about a dominating sexual difficulty in the relationship, such as vaginismus or other sexual dysfunction, while keeping in mind the purpose and goal of eventually bringing in the partner for couples consultation on improving and healing the sexual relationship.
Sexual Rejuvenation –
The definition of rejuvenation is “the action or process of giving new energy or vigor to something.”
Could your sex life use some vigor?
This program is for couples who are able to have intercourse/be sexual but recognize something’s missing—such as passion, openness, desire, excitement, or freedom.
Perhaps your sex life has never been as intimate and satisfying as you’ve longed for it to be.
Are you turned off by a partner who doesn’t seem to enjoy sex as much as you do?
Are you tired of always being the one to initiate?
Are there things you’ve been too hesitant to incorporate into your sex life, such as oral sex or manual stimulation, but are now willing to address inhibitions that may be holding you back?
Do you and your partner struggle to get on the same page sexually?
Do your varied sexual expectations continue to cause conflict?
Whatever your needs are as a couple, I can work with you to have a mutually satisfying and fulfilling sexual relationship. In the initial consultation, we’ll discuss goals you both agree on for what you want your sexual relationship to look like. I will develop an individualized consulting plan for you and your partner, and then we will work toward getting you both the intimate sex life you were meant to have!
Premarital and Newlywed - $800 for 6 sessions
Do you struggle with sexual shame or limiting beliefs about your sexuality?
Did you grow up in purity culture and have no idea how to navigate your sexual relationship?
Is there a lot more you know you could learn about sex, but you don’t know where to start?
I am passionate about helping couples get their sex life off to a great start, and I am excited to share with you all the things I am so glad I knew on my wedding night, and all the things I’ve had to learn since!
We will explore the sexual beliefs you and your partner carry from your family of origin experiences, your religious backgrounds, and the influences from your past to present. From there, we will discuss the sexual expectations each of you have and how to navigate your sexual differences. You will receive education on different types of sexual desire and how to communicate so that each of you doesn’t feel pressured or rejected when it comes to sexual initiations.
If you are dating or engaged, you will be given the tools to handle difficulties and potential conflicts that may arise in your sexual relationship as a married couple. My goal is to share with you and address the struggles that many married couples face, so you can begin your intimate sexual relationship from a place of readiness instead of going in blind.
If you are newly married or feel like you are still in the mindset of a newlywed when it comes to your lack of knowledge of sex and sexuality, this program is also for you! I will explore where you and your spouse are stuck and could use some education and awareness. We can work on sexual communication, initiation challenges, your sexual beliefs and expectations, or any other challenges you’ve come across. I am here to help you expand and strengthen the sexual playground of your intimate relationship.
